Listen Up

Post by uptonpark64 »

first off, can't afford blue flame or micron cans, love em but out of my reach at the moment, is there a link that can tell a doofus like me how to take my baffles out, being a builder, if it needs hammer and chisel, sound, if it needs a drill, explain it s-l-o-w-l-y, if car drivers can't see me, i'd hope they could hear me

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

also you cant put them on for mot and you cant sell them on....

why not just drill a few subtle holes in the baffle plate?
you could take a look at pj engineering and make your own, buy em a bit at a time.... they do the lot,
its only a matter of rivetting them together...

mine passes MOT every year with the full back plate drilled out and the last section of baffle pipe ropped out as well...........it helps that all the standard Honda markings are on, and they cant work out what I have done as there is no evidence of drilling, just the outer 2" pipe.........they dont know there should also be a 1" pipe inside it!

I had Micron ovals on and they were too noisy for me [and everbody I live near], that is why I went for the modified stockers................I like the sound I have now [it is a bit crap if you just drill a few small holes in my opinion], and standard ones on e-bay can be bought in great condition for between £50 and £80, so is a good mod, dont be put off.........only -ve is it is heavier than race cans.

Yes they sounded pretty good to me, not in your face too loud, but just nice IMHO.
