Installed LSL crashpads

Post by bluesman »

Got them last week and installed this weekend. Beatifully CNC machined piece - one of best quality bits I ever seen - I am impressed.
What is nice - kit consist of thick (about 10 mm) hardened aluminium plate, loads of bolts and nuts, "legs" for bobbins and 2-piece bobbins.
When installing plate bolted onto front bolt of rear cylinder via piece that fits into that hole in frame, then other end of plate bolted with M6 bolt to frame, where normally fairing mounting bolt go.
Then fairing bolted onto plate via smart extender even with small nut preventing plastic from crushing by tightening of fairing screw.
Then crash bobbin bolted onto upper end of base plate with same sized bolt as engine mounts.
All together suits Storm very well -a bit strange-looking, but because it is same color alluminium as frame it looks like part of package...
And all made with extreme precision, really well...
I paid 122 Euro with delivery to Belgium from http://www.louis.de

So far have not made any photos of Storm with those (been busy riding it yesterday :)) but here is photo of pads on Gixxer just to see idea
