Thats all good however they do work to their own in house standard which is far toucher than required. Arai passes british testing on 5 cosecutive impacts on the same spot on the same helmet, they all surpass british testing std. I know of no other that does this. I've seen the absorbancy testing results and my opinion is I wouldn't and don't get on a bike wearing any lid other than Arai EVER, it is a fact that they absorb a larger impact than ANY other brand.

But hey, you pays yer money and.........
bluesman wrote:Sorry -can't agree - saw and used quite a few lids and IMHO Arai not just best because it is Arai - they have different models, as well as other manufacturers. IMHO protection level they offer not higher than many other good similarly priced helmets.
As long as lid made of 3-composite or alloy composite and with good quality, got a D-strap and proper visor and been actually through R&D - protection it offers will be same. Especially as for many leads "skull" of helmet made by same third party company. For example - skulls for Sharks and several other helmets makes made by OGK.
If head punched with a force enough to disassemble lid to the level it does not absorbs energy anymore - no matter what lid you in anymore...
I got knocked down, but i'll get up again and you'll never ever keep me down!
