I thought I had better, after 2 years, do some remedial work on the 'storm.
Always been regularly serviced and cleaned, new cct's 6 months ago, but I made the mistake on the last dry buck fickin cold day we had last week, and took my mates 2004 Fireblade with 4500 miles on the clock for a blast.
Now the 'storm is feeling mighty tired, and baggier than a wizards sleeve. Headstock bearings have a noticeable notch in them, forks are nadgered, tyres are D207's and pretty tired, remus carbons still look and sound great but the link pipes have seen better days, there is a chip about 1/2 cm long out of the front rim next to the bearing, the pointy bit at the front of the seat near the tank is worn through.
Rear shocker is original and has done 35600 miles
Anyway I am looking at a 5-600 pound bill, am sending the forks off to revolution shortly.
Anyway, just venting, never getting rid of this bike.
Wish me luck
Well the time has come.

Put me in an empty room with a brick and i'll either break it, lose it or hurt myself on it!!!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Ah, the slippery slope of "improvements" beckons........

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

£600 well spent IMHO. Wouldn't get a decent replacement for 10 x that. Firestorms rule OK.
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

Going anywhere in a car is a journey, going anywhere on a bike is an adventure!
