ROAS manual cct's

Post by alec »

Hi
My manual cct's arrived today from Rider on a Storm, one quick question when i take the old auto ones off do i still need to retain the cap things for the new ones or does Tray design them so these are not required now, cheers alec

hello Bigrich,
i took my covers off to have a look and there's an RT and Ft on mine, i watched the lobes on the cams and when they were facing each other you should be able to see the RT on in the hole. might be better waiting for one of the experienced mechanics to help though

you dont need the bumper thing off the end.
just the same as ape tensioners, with tray's cct's, the round end goes up against the plastic chain guide.
it doesnt actually touch the chain itself.

regarding the RT mark..... if you are knelt facing the right hand side of the bike, the RT mark will be an the far left, partially obscured by the back of the frame which is probably why you cant see it.

would help if someone could take a picture of where the mark is, in relation to tdc on the rear pot.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Tray, yeah got it sorted by myself, took my time and it was all pretty simple in the end - dont think i can hear a rattle or a whine anyway!

seen your post about the rr, i got one off ebay for a 2006 cb125 and it was straight swop over plug in and play, its finned so shouldnt overheat and its running at 13.5v on idle.
