ok, they dont get much randomer than this.....

on our local forum we're organising a sponsored 1000 mile run from knockhill to brands hatch visiting all the bsb circuits, finishing with a lap of brands on race day...
so far weve got granada reports )tv) interested, mcn & fastbikes mag!!!

the aim is to get as many 50cc auto peds as we can, doesnt matter the condition as we have 6mth to prep them for the ride - the event is scheduled over 4 days in october.

all proceeds will be going to North West Air Ambulance, who are supplying tee shirts for the ride...

to make it even dafter, all riders will be wearing race leathers.. mods are allowed, big bore, porting, nos turbos lol...
expect lots of wheelies & knee down!
we even have a cid copper on a honda express lol :lol:

so.... question is.... do you have a rev n rip or retro auto moped lying in the garage that you would be prepared to let go for a good cause... or do you know anyone who has?
the older the better lol!

yes, it is a laugh and it will be absolutely ridiculous, totally gruelling - i cant imagine 10hrs a day at 30mph (if we're lucky)
half the bikes will not even make the finish but thats part of the fun.
i'll add more details as this develops, there will be a mini site up soon detailing sponsors, bikes, builds, riders & route etc.

just for example of the generosity so far, Black's Salvage in Burscough have offered to supply us some bikes free this weekend, so come on, have a think.... can you help, or would you like to come along for the ride? :beer:
i will be touting you lot for sponsorship as it gets nearer too, so be warned lol!

& dont reply taking the piss or i'll send my plod m8 round on his express lol! :thumbup:

Sorry, mate.
The only one I have is a brand new zero miles Chinese knock-off, never even been registered, and it's been promised to whichever of the twins gets their license sorted out first.

On the other hand I wouldn't be confident that it would reach Brands from my house, and that's only seven miles!
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

i got this for the princely sum of £21 :biggrin

it needs a cdi unit (unrestricted one o/c) and a front panel.
apart from that it's a runner - 10k on the clock!!!

also going to pick another up tomorrow, a chinky 4 stroke jobby on a 55 plate - £75 :thumbup:

reckon it will get me 1000 miles? :Beer Popcorn:

Got a spare Storm motor that would probably fit, given a big enough persuasion with a hammer......

i just got another one lol.... looks a complete wreck but the engine is mint & its only done 2k miles.... 4 stroke jobby, should last forever once it's back together.
i think thats the one i'll be doing the 1000 miler on, plus i got new battery, mot & v5 with it....
forgot to ask the guy for the keys tho - fkt if im driving 240 miles back for them lol!
