coils ???
Re: coils ???
Not so KW
...........it can be done, some of the USA SuperHawk owners have done it, but you also need the wiring harness to go with it and splice it into the normal LT signals.
I think they used CBR600RR plug top coils, and even then they had to modify the rubber boot to seal to the strom cyl heads. if you join their site you will be able to read the threads for more info.

Lloydiecbr,
IIRC one of our members mik_str has fitted some stick coils on his Firestorm.
Here's some info from the Superhawk site on how to do the mod and how to make them more waterproof etc:-

Re: coils ???
Hi mate, i'm of the old school opinion where if it aint broke dont fix it, and if it is broke fit the proper ones as far as i can see reading the workshop posts coils aint a problem on the vtr's so why cut wiring if it doesn't need to be cut you could end up causing yourself more problems later.lloydiecbr wrote:easier to work around (less clutter on the bike )

98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home
