Well chaps & chapesses, after joining the forum in August last year and reading all the comments and advice it looks like at long last I have bought one of the wee buggers!!
2003, 53 plate 11,000 and if all goes well mine on Friday evening. Can't wait. The only worrying thing is it lives in York. There be beasties and goblins int north, that's what my mum told me.
It's blue so feel free to slate colour choice & point out advantages of alternative shades, however I will take no s**t from anyone with a teal one!

give it a good going over when you get it, make sure the obvious has been done
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
Cheers Benny. I will get it home and order the manuals before it gets any hammer. Shouldn't need the reg/rec hopefully (see I was listening to all the advice). I must admit I have been collecting various bits in anticipation of getting one, 954 front end, blade swing arm brace and shock linkages which I have drilled and tapped for grease nipples. Can't believe I can be this excited at 51 years old,for gods sake. Had my Yam for 13 yrs so a big change.
Whoopedoo.

Quick pic of the new toy (assuming I have read the posting instructions correctly). Loving it so far and looking forward to some dry roads to try it properly. Anyway just to make sure you are all aware real men ride blue bikes!!!

Thats only cause they cant handle the speed of a red one lol nice looking bike BTW
98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home

That explains it.....
Thanks for that Tony. I said to my missus "just wait for the first comment comparing the bike to the garage door".
Thanks for making me look incite full, and confirming your predictability
Alec, I was told once that once you have had black you don't go back. My Yam was black and I wanted something a little different, another fallacy destroyed.
Blue is the new black, which was the old red. And don't even mention yellow, so last century.

no but u were able to see it in the dark which made it quicker to open
Eh not really, the abode in question was a flat, which had permenant lighting on in the communual hall, so it was never dark. It was however a horrible light blue colour. Gahstly infact, but not as gahstly as Teal.
