vfr rear end conversion

Post by tattoo »

hiya

after looking at the vtr with the blown engine i bought alittle while back i thort i'd make a show bike out of it,i would like to fit a vfr800 rear end into it but wondered if i needed new spacers cutting or the caseings strengthening where it joins also do they use the same shocker, brakes, is the front wheel compatable and is there any differance between the vtr lump and the xl lump ???

as i'm making a shopping list any advice on what i'll need to purchase(apart from the swing arm n wheel) would be great

as i'll be working on a bare frame all the things you've mentioned can be delbt with as they appear,i also have the privalige of working on it in my uncles engineering shop so fabrication of brackets, spacers and plates and any welding alloy or steel will be done by him and zorstec will be called upon for the exhaust.

thanks for the advice mick.
