after reading the "how to balance your carbs"link i was wondering why you have to blank the ends on the pipes once balanced.
couldn't you just push the end of the front vaccum pipe onto the t-piece in the one that goes to the tank or will this cause damage to the tap????

Re: vaccum pipes
no. dont bridge the two pipes together.
some use golf tees to blank the unused pipe off , then tuck it out of the way somewhere.
i got some little valves with my gauges so i just turn them off.
well, i did before i fitted the vacuum relief valves anyway ;)

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
Re: vaccum pipes
tbh benny i've done what it said in the link..used golf tee's..
i just wondered what the reason for blanking the pipes off instead of linking them was
they say you don't find out if you don't ask.

Re: vaccum pipes
simple reason for not linking the vac pipes..... one pot is pulling when the other is pushing, so the vacuum will more or less be cancelled out if you link them
