Re: regulator...will this plug in and play?
bit of cobbling required on the wiring there m8.bigrich wrote:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... _642wt_905
i got one off a cb1100 blackbird on mine & its been great, that plugs straight in.
this one will fit.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-Cbr-125-06- ... _500wt_934
yes i know its off a 125 but it will do the job m8.
same as on the 400s and upwards, thats the plug you want, no messing about apart from its physically bigger so you just use one bolt hole.

Re: regulator...will this plug in and play?
Benny, I won this and have just fitted it, bike started up fine and ran as normal - does that mean its all good to go? it even bolted into both holes!
dont want to get out on the open road for it to go!
also just noticed a clicking noise when i press the starter....i assume from the starter relay but havent noticed it before...is that normal?
cheers in advance

Re: regulator...will this plug in and play?
Put a voltmeter across the bat terminals when it's running, voltage anywhere between 13 and 15.5 volts is fine.
And the relay always clicks as it connects.
And the relay always clicks as it connects.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: regulator...will this plug in and play?
cheers tony, need to get a voltmeter, would and optimiser do the same thing if not connected to mains?

Re: regulator...will this plug in and play?
check battery terminals are tight, and the main lead to the starter,
charge the battery overnight.
try again.

Re: regulator...will this plug in and play?
battery terminals fine, just tried the optimiser on it along, not connected to the mains and it was ticking over at 13.5v
all in all rather happy!
cheers as always boys!
