google is your friend.
theres a few threads scattered around - and on superhawk forum.
be prepared to take a hammer to it to make it fit!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Yes, I did it a few years ago and if I can find the page on my website I'll post a link. Took it back to standard pretty soon after though and bought a TDM for touring on.
Might not be till next week though as I'm going away. I did a whole "blow by blow" picture album of how to do it and can help you with the details once I find the page.

Re: vfr fuel tank
Thanks very much indeed Stratman for the step by step instructions but if i am to be honest with my self i dont think i could do it (lack of skill, facilities). So i think on long runs will strap 5 litre can on the rear. Hope you had a nice few days away. Thanks once again, Den

TBH I don't think it is worth it - I put hard luggage on for long touring and kept a 5l can in the topbox "just in case". France used to be a problem but you can use your Visa Debit/Maestro at the Intermarche etc on Sundays now so even that wouldn't be a problem as long as you start checking for fuel stations at about 80-90 miles.
On the TDM i can wait until about 170 miles before starting to look!
