We are organising a Ride of Respect supported by ROR

Post by Anotherbikerbabe »

Hi guys & gals

Some of you may well be attending some of these runs elsewhere in the country, but Dave & I are organising one from SW Scotland/Carlisle area routes TBC, as Dave is talking to the MOD and arranging a departure and arrival point for us all. The limit is a max of 500 bikes (per region, except Wotton Bassett) as advised by the ROR organisers. There is currently one orgainsed for Glasgow area, but nothing in the way of the SW/NW/NE Borders area. Last years Wotton Bassett run was meant to be a one off and some of you probably know, 10,000 bikes turned up! 8O 8O 8O What does that say for bikers! Great..

We are going over a lot of info this weekend with the ROR organisers and also the Afghan Heroes regional laision organiser. The cost is £10 per bike for rider and also an added £10 per pillion should you be taking one. ALL money is paid directly to the Afghan Heroes official officer on the day so ALL money collected goes to them. :D We are letting you know now as trying to let as many ppl as possible know so you can tell your friends etc. I know we all pull out all of the stops when it comes to our brave armed forces,so we hope you will try to help us raise some money by joining us on APRIL 3rd 2011 and have a great day :-) Lots to discuss and organise so best get on, but will post details as soon as they become available as the ROR official club will be posting up a link to it on their web site and also a page dedicated to it via Facebook in the next few days.

ALL EX servicemen and women will be riding up front to head up the ride,so please let us know if you are EX Military. I'm sure there will be a good few of you out there who live in Cumbria/Lakes/North west/North East & SW borders etc who might like to come along..Let us know

Thanks everyone
