up on taking the carbs of today to give them a good clean , to my surprise the carbs have water pipes running though
surly this is a bad thing !
ive always been told you want the carbs as cold as pos to maintain bhp so why did they make them like this ?
and would it be ok to bypass it ?

...paradoxically, cold winter weather is less prone to icing, since cold air contains much less moisture. A warm day with high humidity is considered the most likely scenario for carburetor icing. Since there is less air acceleration through the carburetor at full-throttle operation, icing is usually not a problem then.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

If I didn't know why carbs can ice I wouldn't be trying to modify anything. Honda didn't build things a certain way because they didn't know what they were doing.
