Fuel leak
Hi, I have a 97 Storm with a rather perculiar problem, there is a leak coming from the base of the fuel tap under the tank it comes out from a very small hole in a round piece that sticks out of the bottom of the tap, not sure if is meant to be attached to a hose of some description, but the percularity lies in that it only leaks just after the engine has been run and then stops after a few minutes, it doesnt appear to leak whilst the engine is running though, any ideas? Fez

Re: Fuel leak
You might want to try checking you have all the hoses attached correctly esp if the tank has been off at any time and invest in a fuel tap rebuild/repair kit. http://www.nrp-carbs.co.uk/honda_fuel_t ... ir_kit.htm
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Re: Fuel leak
The round bit you refer to is a breather. Sounds like the diaphram in the tap is knacked.

That's exactly what I was going to say. You need to get a diaphragm replacement kit ASAP.simo wrote:The round bit you refer to is a breather. Sounds like the diaphram in the tap is knacked.
Wicky has recommended a supplier in his post.
