CCT Leaking oil.

Post by vtwin »

First time out today after fitting my ROAS manuals, bike runs great but when I got back I notice oil running down the thread of the rear CCT, not a lot but enough to notice. The front one is fine. Any thoughts?

did you put silicone round the thread before doing the adjuster nut up, a few people missed this in the instructions.

Or thread lock works fine as well.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks, missed that, will sort out tomorrow. I suppose it proves the point about the lack of oil getting to the front CCT causing failure.

I had the same thing. Bit of gasket sealant sorted it.

Will be taking mine for 1st rideout a week tomorrow after taxing it for six months at an increase of £4 odd. As for the cct's i took them to bits and put a good fitting flat washer under the lock nut as well as the sillycoon. Should be OK.
