Just been out for the 1st run after servicing the bike for the start of the year.
About 2 miles into the journey I noticed that the temp gauge was fluctuating a bit. Keeping an eye on it as I rode on I noticed that it was then jumping about from nothing to 1/2 way to about 1/4 and continued to do this for a further 15 miles or so. I turned and came back home just in case.
I have checked the battery:
13.4 volts standard
14.5 volts with engine running.
If left to idle the temp will eventually increase to about 1/2 which is when the fan kicks in.
So,
I think battery, regulator, thermostat and fan switch are all okay,
Would these symtoms be relevant to the temperature sender switch on the side of the Thermostat housing or does anyone have any other ideas or have experineced the same symptons.
Thanks
Nigel
