Double Bubble Burning issue

Post by Beamish »

I know of SP owners with the same probs.....
I have a double bubble screen on the Gixxer and its melted the Clocks a little, at the apex where the second bubble rises from the original profile it appears to focus the sunlight to the extent that it melts the clocks :( . Anyone know of a cure that doesnt involve swapping screens again?
Mike, I know you had a similar problem on your SP1 IIRC?

Sorry mate I am not after the repair scheme (I remember that) I am after a solution that allows you to retain the DB screen. Hows the back buddy?

scratch the inside of the screen up with wet n dry.
it's not noticeable from outside but scatters the light inside, so it doesnt focus on the clocks etc.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Hang some of those lovely cut glass crystals inside, they'll make pretty rainbows whenever the sun shines.

Then you'll be so happy you won't care whether your clocks melt or not.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Worth dropping him a PM.
Thanks buddy, will give him a pm, you still up for a ride in may?

As for my back, I'm off to get a couple of knives pulled out of it later.
Seriously though, it's a lot better than it was a few weeks ago. In hospital beginning of May, but should be ok for our trip.

Glad to hear it mate, lets hope you can do a few miles in May.
