handling

Post by gafr »

hi, gafr here.
having lots of fun on my storm, never had one before, but its great, one fault though....
handling (or lack of!)...........
going into a corner a bit on the quick side and the bugger runs wide, all the time.
is this a common fault?if so , can it be fixed easy enough.
then again, could it be my tyres. it came with conti roadattacks fitted, iv"e had them on other bikes and they always seemed fine.
tyre pressures are ok, suspension is all ok, no leaks etc , and set up to suit me.
im at a loss, any ideas?

stick a spacer under the rear shock mate, and or drop the forks 10mm in the yokes.

plenty of threads here on it....
they all do it til theyve been sorted :D
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

hello mate i've just done this today and it handles really well, i got 4 x 1.5mm large washers and cut slots in them and put them in it works the same as the spacer and you can adjust to suit, you could get 6 x 1mm or 3 x2mm its up to you i just put the 4 in and loved it straight off. the bike is higher on the a'se end so might drop it to 4.5mm but i will probably get used to the height but the handling is great
98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home Image
