It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: not reving out
its about 1500b4 redline it does go on to the redline but stutters as though its struggling for fuel
Re: not reving out
Does it pop and bang a lot through the exhaust as well?
If so, check the vacuum take off bolt on the rear of the front head which should either have a cap head allen screw in it, or if it's already been modified to take a carb balancer should have a brass pipe poking out with a rubber pipe on, which should have its other end stopped up.

ah, when you cleaned the carbs, did you remember to reconnect the throttle position sensor

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

easily done though... just have a peep at the carb linkage on the right hand side, see if there is a connector hanging off.matslade wrote:i didnt clean the carbs a mechanic i have a huge amount of respect for did im presuming he didnt miss a blanking piece etc etc
also why did the carbs need cleaning.... if they were full of crap it can only have come from one place - the tank.
so it's possible that the carbs were cleaned and then more debris entered due to crap in the tank.
the only soultion to that one is clean them out again and fit an inline filter.
might be worth cracking the drain screw at the bottom of each bowl & see if any crud comes out.
were the plugs definately changed??? iridium plugs dont last forever!
if all else fails just take it for a dyno run & see whats going on with the fuelling
