I wonder if anyone has ever done this. I changed the sprockets today +2 on rear -1 on front job was going pretty well till I was tightening front
sprocket bolt it didnt seem to be getting tight then it very loose I had managed to snap the bolt wtf, then I had the great job of trying to get the snapped
half out of the shaft wasnt too bad luckily anyway thought this would be a part dealers would carry but not so. Anyway have ordered one hopefully will come
tomorrow.

oh dear... mustve been fatigued anyway... just as well it went when you were tightening it & not out on the road, otherwise couldve resulted in a smashed casing, wrecked slave cyl, bent output shaft etc... dunt bear thinkng about lol.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Yea dont like to think of what could have happen lol. Anyway I checked in book 54nm is the torque setting that seemed pretty low to me, considering
where it is.

it doe snot need to be too tight, as when driving the direction means that it will self tighten

Sounds like you over torqued it bud, was it a mare getting the other piece out?

No not too bad the hole in shaft is a fair bit longer than the bolt, so while I was drilling it, it spun down to the end of the thread, got an eaziout in there and came straight out.
