Found this....

Post by pinkyfloyd »

Whilst cleaning the beastie today this popped out from one of the fairings. Sorry for the crap picture quality but it is a peice of rubber and I'm not sure where it goes. There wasnt one I could see on the opposite side. So any idea's what it is and where it goes?

thats a tank rubber mate goes on the lip under the tank, if you lift the tank you'll see where it was glued on

looks like the rubber that should sit on the base / side seam of the fuel tank to stop it rubbing on the frame

Cheers lads. The lack of one on the LHS had me confuddled. I knew it was something to stop vibrations but wasnt sure if it was fairing or tank because I couldnt find an opposite number.

Will re insert it after lunch.

I think it might be the rubber spacer that fits between the tank and the frame.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
