A mate and I went for a day out on the trails with Overland Trail Tours. Fooking excellent day out!! This is my first proper attempt at riding on the rough stuff apart from the pissing about I did when I was younger. If you are going to have a go, get yourself as fit as possible as it is bloody hard work.

looks too dry and easy........need mental rocky river beds that climb for miles..............or a good old fashioned bog.
I can remember runs up round Ingleton in north Yorkshire where we would take 1hr to get all the bike across a 1/2mile section of bog. You could look around and it was like a bike graveyard! some stuck with both wheels out of sight, some with just the front missing from view, and the rider headfirst in the gloop.

I blame global warming and the Nanny state having to send trucks up to grade anything classed as a road...spoils the fun!

Apparently the rocky sections would have been easier if it was wet as the mud tends to stop the rocks moving about so much. There was a great variety of trails. The 1st two vids was just session 1. I failed to capture any of the second session. I had a big off too which would have been awesome to watch User fail!!

yeah, you are right about riding on loose stone, hard work as both wheels are moving in every direction and if you lose momentum you can struggle to get going again..............a damn good work out

were they the 250 or the 450 yams? what you looking at buying now you have tried a real enduro bike?

WR250F with 1/4 action throttle.

Cant have 3 bikes and cant get rid of the beemer so its looking more and more likely the storm will have to go. Anyone wanna swap Talking to the guy that runs the tour, he has used honda 400, wr426 and said out of those and his current bikes, the yam 250f have been the most reliable and up to the task. He also runs KTM450exc too.

I'd like to get a WR250f but might try some others too. Not tried a real one if the wr250f isn't classed as a real enduro?

2 offs. One big one which hurt and a little one where I just fell into the bank as I had lost momentum and as you say, once you stop its hard to get going again. The second off will appear in a later vid. Need to get the footage back off my mate

You'll also notice in the next lot of vids that my confidence is shot after the big off, that plus as I wasn't riding right, I was using more energy and tired quicker. Can't wait to get out on the lanes again to sort my fooking riding position out. I was leaning back to much and not standing over the bars, so every time I opened the throttle, I had to hang on for dear life.

virtually no grean lanes near me im in london
im happy to make a weekend of it travel to cornwal camp green lane camp again get a sense of freedom
it makes a huge difference to me having both bikes
the mt350 pulls a smile not a weelie
the vtr is just to goddamn awesome to get rid of having both makes me apreciate and respect both bikes more
