Rubbish chain riveter!!

Post by Fazermike »

Just tried to rivet up my lovely new DID X ring chain with a riveter I got from fleabay and it was totally rubbish and has ruined the soft link! :sad2

Probably my fault as it was a very cheap one

So I now need a new soft link and a decent riveter any suggestions would be good! thanks.

what you need is 2 hammers
a small ball pein toffee hammer and a big lump hammer to tw@ it over with, preferably against the anvil bit of a vice.

you can rivet the chain off the bike with the storm, just take off the left rear hanger and the sprocket casing. (take the clutch lever off before removing the cover)
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
