SO the saga continues, came off at about 90ish mph the other week, on first inspection the bike looked ok, bent clip on, exhaust etc, great I thought, shouldn't take much to sort!
One thing that was off though was the wheel wasnt straight with the bars, I assumed the forks had twisted in the yokes, so slackened everything off and got it aligned up no bother, great I thought! lol
Anywho, step forward to yesterday, changing my somehow bent discs (how do you bend a disc in a lowside?lol) I noticed the front wheel wasnt going in right at all, had to force it in as such! But got it in and taking a step back I notice the wheels pointing to the right and the bars are straight! lol
After much bashing of the forks to get them through the yokes (another give away sign) I get them off, and bugger me, the left fork is bent by about 1/4inch and the right leg doesnt look bent but where it bolts to the bottom yoke I can see and feel a crease!
Sooooooo, leads me to my question, Ive got another set of std used forks today, great, but my bent ones have been modified by Roger, very simple I know, but I assume I can just swap out my internals into the new forks?
Ive ordered new seals and upper bushes just to be on the safe side, but what about Oil, Roger s told me to use 7.5wt of any brand, but what do you guys recommend I use, cant seem to get hold of Racetech oil over here, so which brand do I go for?
Now I know I need to bleed the forks as such before I set the air gap, can someone give me a quick guide on the best way to do that and the best way to measure the oil gap, been told to use 130mm gap, same as stock, does that sound right for Rogered forks? Im assuming before I empty my fork oil out I can measure the gap thats in there now?
Cheers everyone!

Glad that you are ok anyway.
The best answer is to email him directly, I'm sure he'll help in anyway he can.
I also know that he performs some internal machining within the fork so swapping the internals about might not be as simple.

Re: Rebuilding Bent Rogered Forks?
afaik the only machining done is drilling out the holes in the damping valves so there shouldnt be an issue in changing the stanchions over.
the bottom yoke will be fkt mate... they are made of balsa wood.
also have a good look at the ally yoke stops on the headstock & chack for any cracks / distortion / stress marks in the welding.
the yoke stops were gone on mine so i dremelled them back to shape then tigged a m5 nut on the youke itself..
lost a slight amount of lock but it's fine and passed mot ok.
good luck getting it built back up & glad to hear youre not bashed too bad

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Get Roger at http://www.revolutionuk.co.uk/ to rebuild them for you, or at least get a quote would be my advice.
