Hi,
This might be a silly question but I have Just been refitting my modded standard silencers and I noticed that the silencer doesn't fit very well to the header pipe on the left side (gearchange side) and that the bracket on the silencer that bolts to the footrest looks like it wants to go in front of the mounting bush as opposed to the right hand silencer that mounts behind the footrest mounting bush.
Is this correct? or should they both be the same mounting position?
I have tried to find a picture of the mounting but no luck!
Thanks

i had trouble fitting the link pipes on my old viper exhaust and had to elongate the hole and bend the bracket a bit.
the cans ive got on atm dont have a footpeg mount which is just as well cos i dont have standard footpegs lol.
it should go on the inside of the bracket, away from you.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
no point me posting a pic m8 as i dont have the same footpegs as you and my link pipes now dont have a footpeg bracket!
im sure someone will oblige

FM, as the others have said, both the brackets on the link pipes of the standard cans are meant to fit behind the footrest brackets. I use a flat bladed putty knife to help ease the chain side bracket slip in behind. Once it's in position you can then slide out the knife before fitting the bolt. If you haven't got a putty knife a slim paint scrapper should also work.
