Re: Overland Trail Tours - Peak District - April 29th 2011
Nice one geo. I have been looking into this for a while now. I missed out on a PE250 a week ago
, I fancy running a twin shock enduro so I can enter the classic races. Think I will most likely end up on an XR though, not many green lanes left to be honest so my bike must be capable of lengthy road runs in between the rough stuff.

I see myself as a sensitive intelligent man but with the heart of a clown that causes me to **ck things up right at that crucial moment........'Jim Morrison'

Thanks mate. Looking to chop in the storm for some kind of crosser. Looking at a Husky 510TE and a WR250F at the momentBeamish wrote:Nice one geo. I have been looking into this for a while now. Let us know how you get on. I thought the WR's were a bit heavy on the maintenance?

I have read that the Husky is very high maintenance. The place I went to ride on the trails (Overland Trail Tours) highly recommend the wr250f for n00bs like me. He had WR400, WR426 and others and the WR250F has been the most reliable. They spend their whole life being hammered by n00bs and seem to hold up well. lolBeamish wrote:Let us know how you get on. That sounds like a reliable recommendation to me. Bit pricey for my green laning budget but will keep my eye outgeodude wrote:I have read that the Husky is very high maintenance.
