Chain snapped!

Post by Eclectic »

Hi fella's. so yeah. My chain snapped right when I went to loft a big old 2nd gear clutch up

Luckily there appears to be no damage to engine casings  though I havent had the guard off yet and looked in there as it was a mad rush to get home/ Luckily a biker lived near by and drove me the few miles I had made it back to work. So got a van and recovered the old girl.

So, I need to order a new chain and sprockets. I want to go 16/42, and I beleive I can still do 102 links for that combo, but just want someone to hold my hand and confirm I can!

Cheers,
Nigel

EDIT, this is the chain Im looking at: http://www.intobikes.co.uk/products/003 ... Ring_Chain

Well, I ordered 15/42 :D

So 102 should fit I think.

15-42 will be fine on a 102 link chain pluss it will wheelie better lol

Cheers mate. I had best take it easy when I do it, gotten quite good at 2nd gear wheelies, will probably throw myself off the back with the new gearing :D
