I'm no a fan of rim damage (who is) so I'd grab another wheel.
There's one on ebay right now for £125 in Hull.

that looks more like some rough butt tried to change a tyre with a crowbar :Ball Kick:

just keep an eye out on ebay as they very often go for 30 - 60 moneys.
may be worth messaging a few breakers on ebay who are selling other vtr bits as they may have one in the back somewhere.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Mark, my opinion is, if it were my bike I'd replace the wheel,

That explains the rim damage, then. :shh:

You should be able to pick one up for £50, or Hagon do a refurb service, they should be able to build it up, give them a call.
Alternatively, try for a six-spoke, search on here to see which ones fit, VFR400, early Blade, but there's quite a few more.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
