a landrover d2 and a ktm, i had to have a honda to restore relability in my life.
Try this one, i'm of to cadwell tomorrow and not sure about tyre choice. The weather forecast is a bit dodgy and at the mo i've got some super corsas fitted. I have read on a few trackday forums that they are crap in the damp but i'm not sure if this was said by real trackday/race nutters looking for ultimate grip, my road wheels are fitted with bt010 front and a bt56 rear so do i put those on or stick with the super corsas, as long as the corsas are safe i'd rather stick with them ( i'm talking about damp conditions not really wet as if its pissing down the road tyres will go on) hope this makes sence and any advice would be great, may also save a lot of pain and money, cheers Dodds. ps i will look out for you riding around plymouth as i use my bike to comute to work everday.

Cheers mate.

Better to burn out than just fade away!
sorry its taken so long to get back on i have been away.
dodds the super corsa is a race bred road tyre not the other way round,
if i was doing a track day it would be super corsas every time.the reason they are crap in the wet is they take longer to heat up than a standard diablo and running them in wet conditions you will struggle to keep the heat in the tyre.
EGG do u mean the metzeler rensport RS1/2s or full race tyres.
the RS1/2 is a exellent track tyre, i have a friend that races a gixer6 and he uses them as a practice tyre, as for the race tyre he does not rate the metzeller slicks and always uses dunlops.
i hope this helps

dunlop 208s are the devils work, the only bike that they work well on is a r6 or r1. the only good thing about them is they are cheap.
i would not recomend them to anyone.
they are poor in the wet and let go way to early in the dry.

i know this post is a bit late
, but the racetec tyre is exellent and it is road legal, last year there was a race series that ran soley on racetec tyres.
im running the new pirelli strada sport touring tyre at the moment and they are exellent warm up quick, superb in the wet and very good in the dry. mileage wise im not to sure yet, ive only done 1000 miles so far.
