Clear indicators with red led tips?

Post by cliveyandrews »

Saw some the other day - with a red led on the tip - on the tail light circuit I guess.

Thought they were really cool - but I have been all over eBay, with no luck!

Be cool if you could get fronts with White markers too....

Anyone seen them, know where I could get some...?

I modified some led indicator mirrors to give daylight running lights, changed the LED's for ultra bright white LED's.

Changed the middle bulb for some extemely bright LED's too.

That's pretty cool.

Think I'll have to buy some and mod the tips myself....

Where did you get the leds from? My ones are not as bright as those.

I got the individual high power led's from RS conponents, an electrical wholesaler. I put 16 in each mirror and they were then wired in to the existing pcb, with some extra resistors put in to get them all the right amount of power. You should be able to get high power led's fairly easily that will work
