How Many Left?

Post by benny hedges »

someone asked this question a while back -
i found this on another site - it's brill!

shows how many of a particular model were taxed, sorned or scrapped each year!
have a go!!!
the firestorm btw is getting pretty rare - if you have a good one you should keep hold of it! :biggrin

That's interesting data. Population is about 3500 now, and has dropped 193 in last 4 quarters. Although in 1st qtr last year the population increased by 83, which must be a combination of imports and people rebuilding writen off bikes as winter projects!?

But on those rates of decay it will be 18 years till we are extinct

Indeed, interesting.
There doesn't seem to be too much of a rate of decline but that's a high rate of SORNs.
I'll not be getting rid of mine either.

i think the sorn rate shows that riders get attached to the firestorm and cant bear to part with them even after getting a new bike

Storms are common as muck compared to my GPz 550 or zx550 A1 as it is shown, 133 in the country 43 on the road!

Most common vehicle of our vehicles is a 1967 SWB Landy 8939 of those on the road and 7381 sorn :confused

I just checked out my other bike Yam FZ750, in 1997 there was 1 total but now 10 live and 13 sorned. somehow I don't believe it.

was no sorn in 97 though... dunno when it started but dont think it was that far back.
its a register of how many were taxed.
seeing as all yam owners are chavs and pikeys and dont bother taxing their bikes (except off other people), it's probably right

i know of 2 TZR 125's in my mates garage been badgering him to get them back on the road. both d reg blue and yellow ones
