a big thanks to you tony....

bodge seems to have done the trick m8, 20mm deeper holes and studding instead of bolts, and lots of plastic metal making up the gaps.
the threads are going into proper metal though and the clutch is working ok.
fitted a new chain, just got to retension it and do oil & filter change, then ready for a test tomorrow :)

owe you a few

if i get a month out of it i'll be more than happy.... then new engine time, hopefully run in in time for bulldog!

off out on it tomorrow if i can find a dry line.
clutch feels ok, that was the main issue.
also think one of the chain adjusters is bent, hopefully the spindle is ok but ive got a spare one if it's bent.
mustve gone with more of a bang than i thought!

Nice one.
You'll need a good strong clutch for the bulldog drag strip.....

if I get a go you will, anyway!

Looking forward to this year, it'll be good to test a couple of tuned engines to see how much time comes off the runs last year.
Doesn't seem sensible, really, spending hundreds of pounds and many hours building engines in order to knock .6 of a second off a quarter mile time.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
