I'd gety used to ear plugs if I was you. It's not exhaust noise that damages your hearing it's the wind noise!

Take the whole back plate out, and then the tube as well, not much noisier, but a much deeper sound.

And you will have no problem in the MOT, what's not to like

Point taken re ear plugs might take ya advice on that one..... :)

Amcq...if i drill out the rest of the backplate does the tube draw straight out?... Pillion says vibration through rear footpegs is quite disturbing and i'm wondering if thats gonna be improved if i take out all the baffle as there's nowt to restrict exhaust gasses ...causing less vibration??? :confused

p.s. thought about sticking the baffles up my hooter...flipping hayfever doing my head in

no the tube stays in place so either
a) you grab it with mole grips and rip it out
b) you ride it like that and it fatigues the weld and they fall out

on vibrations, i think it might be worse with the standard pipes compared to race cans [std are heavier] and my view is the debaffled ones might vibe a bit more, but my bike has a vibration problem anyway, which I dont think is the cans!

the problem with your bike is more to do with the oem vibrating buttplug you get free with bikes of a certain hue... :Beer Popcorn:
