Could'nt resist.
First the b8stard server went splat andthen some tw@ in a digger chopped our Broadband line so I've been logging in on slimband from another office when no ones about. It's been driving me crazy
So I have'nt been able to join in as much as usual.
Still not fixed, but you made me do it

Guys,
looks like it's electrical after all - took it down to a see a friend of a friend and straight away he said it was plugs, caps or coil - or any combination of the above.
Apparently one of the four plugs (never realised this was a twin-spark engine...) is very difficult to get at to change. Any of you guys done it before? Any hints or tips (like: let a mechanic do it, you berk!)?

Bin thinking a bit about this one now.
1st Are you sure it's a Storm? (4 plugs
)
2nd If it is, Could the TPS be up the swany?
It would run like shite at low revs if it was. A quick check is to run the bike at 4000 rpm and remove the sensor plug (righthand side the carb as you sit on it). The revs will increase if its working. If no change it could be a suspect.
Only an idea but it's easy to check and might eliminate something from the list

S*dding mechanics... I was surprised by his suggestion that there were four, so I had a quick look last night and unless there's three at the back, there's definitely only two of the buggers. Why don't mechanics ever tell the truth? Or are they just stupid?
Well, I'm finally taking the plunge and getting my hands dirty this weekend (after promising to do so for the last couple of weeks) so hopefully I will be able to tell you all in the next couple of days that all is well... New plugs and caps, clean and oil the air filter, and I'm going to have a look at the fuel lines which can, according to some of you guys, get squashed or twisted under the tank
Pete.L. - ta for the tip - will try that too.
Fingers crossed.
