well i thought it was, and thought it was considerably stiffer on the other forks too (with these springs)
gonna be doing the front end to compliment my brake mod and thought id strip the old forks apart to see. dont want to strip the forks on my bike as need it on the road wed for barton bike night.
yes mate thats a stock spring.... yes i know they look like progressive springs - i thought the same when i took mine out.
you will notice difference with decent ones in.
even new stock springs will make a difference tbh, theyre probably 2" longer than the 10 year old ones you have atm
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
As Benny said. They are stock ones and look progressive but when you compare proper progressives ones with those ones, the true progressive springs have a much tighter coil and will be longer, heavier and just better made. Easy to spot the difference once you've seen a set in the flesh.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!

Heavier???????
Don't like the sound of that........
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

The ones I got from hyper pro were heavier because there was so much more spring compared to the standard shite. They were a lot longer and coiled a lot tighter as well and with those springs you have to remove the 100mm top bush to make room for em. Well worth it though. Completely changed the bike.

Ah. yes, you're right.
Never considered the extra weight before, but either way it makes no difference because the standard ones just plain don't work well enough.
But here's a question:
Is the spring itself sprung or unsprung weight?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
