chinese fairings
chinese fairings
just wondered if anybody new what they are like
Re: chinese fairings
pretty good for the price.
A mate has them on his gixxer, currently in my back garden having the gearbox rebuilt, fitted straight out of the box.
And Performance Bikes (I think) had a report and theirs was ok too, not as good a paint finish as originals but you'd have to line them up side by side to tell the difference.
And after all, Storms are a few years old now, and so don't need to look absolutely pristine...

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: chinese fairings
Although none are shown for the Firestorm model, Alibaba (.com) have some very funky SP fairings that may interest a few of you.
Starts with a R. Rrrrrrrr. Motorbike!
Re: chinese fairings
It'd be interesting to compare them to OEM to see the differences (if any) to see if they are made from the same factory moulds. What do Honda do with their toolings after a bike is discontinued and obsolete - Sell them on after so many years?? or if the Chinese ones are moulded from patterns of original bodywork
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Re: chinese fairings
I'm also tempted to try these, there cant be much difference in price to buying another fairing after my off and getting everything sprayed to buying a whole new set
Re: chinese fairings
Yeah, but your old ones come with a free leg of lamb....playerone wrote:I'm also tempted to try these, there cant be much difference in price to buying another fairing after my off and getting everything sprayed to buying a whole new set
