CCT failure - engine rebuild time

Post by wingman14 »

Same old story - without warning my Storm sounds like the CCTs have failed. Not sure how horredous the damage is yet. Went at around 2,000rpm
Are there any Firestorm engine builders on this site who take on this kind of job. Its too much for me. Would rather it get looked at by a skilled enthusiast than a dealer with little interest. I'm based in the South East - London/Kent borders.

not too far off tony mon.....
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Yep, I'm in Sevenoaks, but busy this weekend.
Give me a call_ 075 30 20 40 40.

Can you get the bike to me in a van?
Don't start it any more, you'll only do more damage and need more parts.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hi Tony.
Really great to talk to you, and very much looking forward to sorting out the bike's problem. Thank god for VTR100.org and knowledgeable guys like you.

I will phone you thursday next week to arrange a time to deliver the Storm. Have had some quotes around £50 to deliver it which is cheaper than hiring a van.

Thanks again.

Tony gets high praise from me, I would let him touch my storm over my missus anyday....that's trust.
