Since I have changed the gearing to 15f 44r the speedo is MILES out, I was expecting the gearing to change the reading but didn't realise it would be THAT bad lol (Doing an indicated 170 on a private road)
So anyway my idea is to take the clocks off altogether and use my fone as a GPS speedo instead. I have downloaded one and was going to look into a way of mounting it up.
My questions are, has anybody used one before? If so, how accurate was it and how reliable is the signal? I don't want to mess about fitting it all and changing everything only to find that it doesn't actually work! lol
Tank yu pleashe!

As long as your phone gets a decent GPS signal - and updates quick enough - then a GPS app is a great idea! I use "Justspeed" on mine....

-2 mph lol were u walking backwards through time? lol
I downloaded one called Ulysse Speedo Pro. for less than 2quid it looks GREAT, has a clock, a 0-60 timer, plus an odo to keep track of miles travelled over the last day/week/month.
Worked like a treat too when I tested it in the car. Gonna have to work a way of mounting it on the bike now and keeping the rev counter.

Yeh seen them mate, but its a hard case I'm after really.
To be fair though, the app I have been using for the last couple of days now is VERY good. You can change the colour of the "dash" which impressed me and the 0-60 timer could come in quite handy

Streetfighter stylee
These work a treat, waterproof too but the only issue is that to the best of my knowledge, they are not illuminated.
It'll all be OK in the end and if its not OK then its not the end
