Hi Bars

Post by Stratman »

One more thought on this, and thanks Tony for your e-mails, but wouldn't VFR bars do nearly as well, givem that the fairing would have to be paired back anyway? The fork tubes look the same diameter and the are about three inches higher and alook a bit wider to me, although you could always trim the lengthe I suppose.

Anyone tried this, as it would save drilling the top yoke?

I believe the vfr bar swap is a popular one on the blackbird. 43mm forks i believe. According to the mcn site the storm has 41mm forks so the vfr bars would fall off. Then again, mcn says the storm has a 190 rear tyre which it dosnt have, believe it if you will. It's too dark and wet here to go out and measure mine so if someone else wants to do it...... I think it might actually be the vtech bars and not the older bars they use. Could be wrong though, old age is playing havoc with the memory. :?

The Blackbird mod does use the VTEC onles which I think are bigger like you say - the older ones look the same as the VTR's.
