battery - I had to push start

Post by superchicken »

I had to push start my 2002 Superhawk the other day after stopping in a drive trhu. I bought a new battery last year. I only have 8000 miles on it. What could be wrong with it. Something must be draining it. Its sill hot here in Okilahoma USA. So, the cold is not a factor. But when it does get cold it gets worse. I also bought a trickle charger. It works but would still like to know whats wrong with my bike or if its just a common problem with the model.

Check to see if it is charging. Your regulator may have given up the ghost.

Same thing with mine...........faulty reg/rect...........cooked the battery.

even charger failed to help. One new reg/rect, new battery and good as new.

You could check voltage at different revs.
it may be clever, but its not big.

Don't use another Honda regulator!

Go here and use something cheaper and more reliable
