I have been loosly following the thread form the start, I also have ridden both bikes. I rode both a firestorm and SV last december as I was considering buying new and both were available for about £5000 then. I must say in defence of the SV its gearbox is light years ahead of the Storm but it would be bad if it wasnt as I have had a few suzukis in the past and they have all had excellent gearboxes. Honda must make tractors some where in the world judging on this alone.
I must admit to umming and ahhing about which to buy, as for what I use the bike for there is very little to choose between the two. I dont ride very fast and don't really throw it into corners as in this part of the world the roads are not really up to it.
What swung it for me in the end was this bike was up for less than £3000 and wasn't 3 years old (at the time). £2000 buys a lot of petrol
. it was cheap as no-one liked the colours
but as its only a toy the colours don't bother me at all.
Some people like it some don't, ain't that just the way of the world

170 of us got laid off in July as our jobs got shipped off to India and China. There will be no jobs left in this country at this rate. Jaguar employees are the latest victims. (Don't get me started on this subject!)

Cannock is in Staffordshire in between Stafford and Lichfield, about 25 minutes from Walsall and 45 minutes from Birmingham.
I though everyone knew where it was after Stan Collymore made it famous earlier this year (front page of national newspapers) with his "dogging" antics over Cannock Chase. (Lives local)
Come to think of it, there's quite a few famous people live local:
1) Remember Steve Bull? - he lives/lived about 1 mile from my house (don't know if he still does)
2) The guitarist out of "Whitesnake" lives local
3) Roger "the name's Bond, James Bond. 007" Moore used to live in Cannock
There's probably more but I can't remember off the top of my head (I'll add them as I remember)
Just remembered - saw the Hawk Kawasaki team in a local pub this year (can't remember the main racer's name! he was Australian)

Heh heh, the only one I know from that list is Moore!! As you can probably guess from not seeing the Collymore thing, I have no interest in football at all!!
There is nobody famous where I live! Only one is Terry Wogan used to live about 10 mins from me when he was growing up. I don't shout about that one much!

And I thought I was the only guy in the UK not obsessed with footy. I don't like it either - I only know about the Collymore thing because of it being splashed all over the papers for about a week, with maps of our area printed in them. Only knew of Steve Bull (Used to be a famous player - don't know for which team) because of him living down the road.RQ wrote:As you can probably guess from not seeing the Collymore thing, I have no interest in football at all!!
Terry Wogan eh? Good one (I actually think he's OK. love the way he rips the Eurovision song contest to bits every year! not that I watch it or anything)
PS: STEVE TROW. If your reading this, you must be proud - your thread has hit the magic 100 number of posts!
