SP1 Front end conversion
SP1 Front end conversion
Will an SP1 front end fit straight on to the Firestorm or is there modifications required? Been offered a front end at a sensible price with wheel and brakes, etc.

Re: SP1 Front end conversion
if it's the same dimensions as the cbr954 front end (50mm fork diameter)then yes it will fit, the only issue might be clearance of the clip-ons with the bodywork{forks are shorter in length than firestorm ones}, i got around it by buying riser clip-ons from china only £70.
do a search thru the workshop section, i'm sure someone would have attempted it before mate............

don't forget you would also need a sp1/2 or cbr 929/954 front mudguard aswell, a lot of people say your better off spending £100 on a good set of progressive fork springs and some fresh oil, it's reasonably cheap and it's supposed to do the trick..............

The SP1/SP2 forks are slightly longer than 929/954 units (are, in fact, same length as stock Storm forks). You will likely have to move the rads back ever so slightly to retain full-lock for turns. For detailed write-ups on how to do it, check the Superhawkforum. It has been covered in depth many times.....
Good luck
