Digital/Analogue Clock?

Post by Griff1977 »

Hi, Although I'm still unable to ride her, I'm looking over my VTR whilst it sits in the garage and thinking what do I need to do to improve it.

One thing I do need is a clock. Does anybody know of any nice ways of having a clock whether digi or analogue, in the cockpit of the VTR?

you could add a gear position indicator.... tony mon has a smart accumen one on his which is also a clock & displays voltage
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

It may not look much, but I have a large cheapo ebay one velcroed to the top yoke, it doesnt light up but it is large enough to read under street lights.

It lives in my jacket pocket until needed so not a temptation when the bike is parked. main downside is it isnt waterproof

I had the same dillema Griff - After turning up at various places late, I decided it was time to garnish my old Thundercat with a timepiece before trying to catch a ferry to France...

As I'm a man on a budget, I went old school

Amazon - £5.99 or somesuch... Now attached fine to the Storm - Does the job perfectly, however one of the wee lines gave up the ghost after the cold of winter.....

Thanks for ideas Benny, Furry and Mattster!! Benny, had a look and these seem lovely - the ones I found seemed to describe being a gear position ind and volt meter but no mention of clock? Not sure, but these were coming in at about £75 - bit pricey for what I wanted!! Furry, your option sounds, limited as when I saw Mattster's idea I laughed then asked myself, why not!!! So a cheapy wrist watch it is I think!! Ta, Griff :plainsmile

I went for the same solution as Mattster - ebay £4.40 water-resistant 50m casio watch that's strapped near the handlebars in the cockpit.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Now label it "top speed recorder" and watch the old bill go quietly mad trying to work out how to get it to show how fast you had been going next time you get pulled.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
