High level pipes and number plate

Post by Miztaziggy »

Can someone with a set of high level pipes posts a pic of their bike showing how close number plate is between pipes please?

Fitted mine tonight, but the end cans point slightly inwards, and the plate touches the end cans as it sits between them. I want to see how you guys have your number plate and if you put a smaller one in there or something?

Thanks Kev,

Did you get that made up special or did it just fit?

It does look to be a standard size plate, and it fits quite nice between your pipes there.

This is mine (and I have had to hacksaw about 8mm of each side of the plate right up to the letter to get it to fit):

I think it was an inch undersize all round. The plate that is, nothing else, I am a stallion of a man. What are you suggesting!!!!

Ahh, ok, because your letters are still not that close to the edge, so maybe yours is in a smaller font?

Ordered it from E Bay and just specified the size, 8 x 5 if I remember right. Very quick service.

just buy a smaller one on the bay normally £10 and arrive within a couple of days, otherwise trimming the plate will only look like a bodge job, post some pics when you got it sorted matey......
