Just to clarify Miz's point above. When adjusting manuals while the engine is running one does not need to find TDC as long as one does not wind them out completely??

You can't find TDC if the engine's running, as it constantly rotates.

So correct, you can adjust while running, but don't wind it out more than a couple of full turns maximum.

If the engine's running you can't set it at TDC, and don't have to.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

quite handy this, it is a fairly technical job on this bike, surprised there is no YouTube videos covering it somehow. :Beer Popcorn:

Having had the benefit of helping (well watching really) Tony Mon rebuild my engine, I was a hell of a lot wiser about the CCT issue. As tony has already said, I think that most people consider finger tight is when you find it difficult to actually turn the bolt. When you look at the camchain at that point its way too tight. Bye the way - Thanks Tony. A really knowledgeable guy and good bloke.
