Hello all,
know this is a stupid question (again). I'm running too lean (popping on de-cel - no leaks in exhaust) and want to make my mixture a little richer.
Any sage advice?

anybody know how to change the air / fuel mixture?

Have a look on the underside of your carbs. You will see a cross head brass screw pointing downwards.One on each carb and not the single slot screw at the bottom of the float bowl
A neat little 90 degree screw driver makes the job easier but you might be able to get by without.
To richen the mixture turn the screw anti-clockwise. Do each one equally and mark them first so you can put it back to standard if thats not what is causing the problem.

Haven't got a piccie
but I got mine from B&Q. Your equivalent of Home Depot or Sears.
it looks a little like a dentist drill but a bit bigger. I can fit all the atachments from my electric screwdriver in the bussiness end(torks, phillips, pozi ect) and there's a hex head in the handle which you either turn with a small wrench or socket to make the head rotate.
It's not a proper Honda tool it's supposed to be for putting on the end of your electric screw driver/drill so you can get into tight spots/corners.
Cheeper than Honda
and works great

having problems with air fuel screw
Ok, I'm having problems with this. I don't see a brass cross hatched screw under the carbs. What I see is the float bowl drain screw, the idle adjust knob, and then a cylindrical post point pointing down, somewhere in the middle of the carb body.
I assumed the cross hatched screw was inside this post, but when I looked at it with a mirror (only way to see it) it looks like a hex head bolt, or rather, the non-business end of a typical main jet.
Am I being thick? Where is that pilot jet screw? The diagram in my manual (s) indicates that it should be inside that cylinder.... Does anybody have a picture of this thing?
