Cleaning gloves

I have these waterproof gloves, which are fine, but the water doesnt get out as well as not getting in.

Basically they end up a bit damp with sweat and are starting to smell a bit like boxing gloves

Anyone have any ideas how to stop this or how to clean them? The smell will be bacteria on the sweat, so something that kills bacteria without destroying the gloves?

You Northern chaps certainly have some strange ways. Pip pip. Have you tried Marigolds, my missus swears by them as cleaning gloves.....

talc? should dry them up and make them smell a bit sweeter, no idea if it will work just an idea

I just chuck mine in the washing machine when they start to smell.

It hasn't up to now, when I put the machine on its coldest setting. They have got a 'not machine washable' label on them though, lol

It would ruin leather gloves but textile ones should be fine. Stick em in the wash and treat to some fabsil when they come out.

Nah. I wash mine in the washing machine occasionally - it's no different to them getting wet in a downpour and as long as you let them dry slowly and then rub in som Renapur or similar they will be fine.
