Fork tubes from ALL BIKE ENGINEERING
Hi, I am going to have to replace my fork tubes.
Has anyone used ABE? http://www.allbikeengineering.co.uk/index.html. Prices are good, £80.00 per tube inc vat. British made as well. Never heard of them before though. Thanks.

Re: Fork tubes from ALL BIKE ENGINEERING
I used them about ten years ago for a leg for my FZR, and had no problems. They have been around for donkies years.
However, in the last week or two someone posted that they had bought a leg for the VTR and they were'nt happy with the quality. Check out the good/bad traders section of the board.

Just found this post, http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 33#p171233 think my question has been answered.

I suppose the best way would be to visit their premises and inspect before paying.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Fork tubes from ALL BIKE ENGINEERING
Ive just ordered a stanchion from Wemoto, its a Paolo Tarozzi tube, reading reviews on other forums suggest there excellent!
Bit more expensive at £99, however these already have the shuttles in them so you dont have to grind the ones out of your old legs and risk shagging them! lol
And if your wondering, Im still waiting for my refund from ABE, bunch of monkeys they are!

Thanks, nora2004, I rang Dave Silver today, £140.00 each for genuine Honda tubes with bottom bush. Looks like I will have to go Wemoto as well.
Do you have to replace bottom bush as well?

Re: Fork tubes from ALL BIKE ENGINEERING
Do you mean the external sliding bush or the internal "shuttle" bush?
If you mean the internal one, the tubes from Wemoto already come with them welded in place, whereas the ABE ones you have to grind out your old welded in one and hold it in place with a circlip which results in it rattling about ive been told!
If you mean the external sliding bush, I only replaced mine 300 mile ago so Im just gonna re-use them, howvere they are quite cheap from David SIlvers!

Incase anyone was wondering, I ended up buying a tube from Wemoto, got it next day and its perfect, lay it next to an OE tube and you cant tell them apart, went together no bother at all!
The difference between the Wemoto and ABE tube is night and day and for an extra £10 well well worth the money!
