advice needed and welcomed

Post by agentpineapple »

hello everybody
in the next month i will be getting my bike resprayed, and because i'm an indicisive bugger i can't seem to nail down what colour to go for.
the bike will have a satin black frame, rear subframe and swingarm, i'm looking to also get my hands on a set of powerbroze lowers, i'm also filling in the indicator holes and have the indicator/mirror combo. other than that the bodywork will be standard.
the wheels will also be powder coated but again i'm open to suggestions.
here are the ideas i've had so far.
white with black wheels
white with white wheels
orange with 2 black centre stripes and black wheels
all black
the late blue colour with black lowers and wheels
i like the idea of the lowers being black no matter what.
not sure i want to go for race rep colours on the storms and if i did the only one that does it for me was this years honda legends from the TT.
if i happen to come into some money i might get the coerce carbon fibre lowers from usa.....£250 delivered thats only £60 more than buying the powerbronze lowers.
anyways please let me know what colour scheme you think would suit the bike, bearing in mind the powder coated frame and so on.............

When I decided to design some t-shirts for my company, I contacted the local design college

They had a design class that did the work as a project

I chose the winner and gave them £50

Maybe you can sort out a few college/uni people to come up with some designs based on your ideas

All black - satin, forks, wheels, the lot. Is what I'm intending one day.

Detailing in metallic blood red - calipers, brake hoses, decals, shock spring. The minimal amount.

I would like to see it ghost like. Polished frame/swing arm & rims. Then Matt Black for the body panels, tank & tail. Ideally street fightered to show off all the internals :D :D

so it could be blackbird blue and twin black stripes starting on the tank because i've got a carbon fibre mudguard, black wheels/lowers
decals in chrome, black or carbon.......
the stripes will be vinyl tho because next year i'll be putting a race seat unit on with a modded original seat.
keep the ideas coming guys......................

If your going to have stripes, dont go with the norm. make them at more up right angles on the bike rather than the usual along the front to back with very slight angle. Make them graduate in size rom start to finish .

marty...before you go with blackbird candy blue get a quote for the paint first...i think it's either 3 or 4 stage paint with the colour being an ink pigment not a paint or so i'm led to believe....i got quoted £1700 for mine painting,my painter advised wrx subaru blue as an alternative or the blue the new gladius frame is painted.. which looks gorgeous tbh and why go with straight lines for the strips...i've seen some vinyl tribal tattoo designs used as strips on a gsx1400 and a bandit...

Have a look at Moto GP qualifying and the Honda ridden by the Japanese wildcard, Ito. Nice classic look to it with a nod toward the TT legends, RC30, classic HRC scheme. I don't think those colours have aged at all.

Quite fancy a Crutchlow rep but without the Monster details, just the yellow on black.

But I currently have the full bellypan and tail unit in Ford metallic graphite for a change.
Getting used to it.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
